Geneva Youth Soccer Registration Form

Believe it or not, a new soccer season is upon us.  It is time to register for the Geneva Soccer Club 2009 campaign.  Go out and find those cleats and shin guards and get ready to play.

 

Registration Information

There will be no in person registration this year.  A registration form is provided below and additional forms are available at the Geneva YMCA, 399 William Street, Geneva, NY or Geneva Recreation Office on South Exchange Street.  Completed forms plus the registration fee (checks made out to Geneva Soccer Club), should be returned by April 14th (additional $10.00 fee due if late) to Geneva Soccer Club, c/o Dave Gadoury, 13 Crescence Drive, Geneva, NY 14456.  Forms can also be dropped off at the Geneva YMCA, the Geneva Recreation Office and the Boys & Girls Club.  For any additional information you can contact Ken Viertel (781-2716) or Greg English Loeb (759-5410).

 

Initiation Program:           6-8 Mixed boys and girls, Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6:00 -7:30 PM,  June 23 - July 30.

Deadline May 11, 2009.  $30 for the first child, $25 for each additional child from the same family.

                                                9-10 Mixed boys and girls, Tuesdays & Thursdays, 6:00 -7:30 PM,  June 23 - July 30.

Deadline May 11, 2009.  $40 per player (Will have some travel games.)

12 & Under (born 8-1-96 to 8-1-98):             separate boys and girls teams, travel league starts the latter part of June:  $50 per player

                                                                                Deadline is May 11, 2009 ($10.00 late fee if registration is after May 11th.)

15 & Under (born 8-1-93 to 8-1-96):             separate boys and girls teams, travel league starts the latter part of June;  $65 per player

                                                                                Deadline is April 13, 2009 ($10.00 late fee if registration is after April 13th.)

18 & Under (born after 8-1-90):                     separate boys and girls teams, travel league starts mid June: $85 per player

                                                                                Deadline is April 13, 2009 ($10.00 late fee if registration is after April 13th.)

                                                                                **Graduated seniors are not eligible to play.

Depending on numbers, tryouts may be required at 18 & Under Level – No guarantees that your child will be picked for the team.

Equipment Needed:  Shin guards, water bottle and soccer ball

(Ages 6-8 -  # 3” ball,   9-12 - # 4” ball and   15 & Over - # 5” ball)

U15 and U18 require a photo ID (1” X 1”), to be submitted with registration.

Mission and Code of Conduct of the Geneva Soccer Club

 

To foster the growth of soccer by making it available to all Geneva area school age

children, teaching it in a supportive developmental way that emphasizes fun and ethical behavior.  Participants and spectators are expected to show proper respect for coaches, teammates, opponents, officials, equipment and facilities, and to refrain from the use of alcohol, tobacco, or drugs.  Unethical conduct such as bullying or improper threatening behavior could jeopardize the right to play or attend Geneva Soccer Club events.

 

Policy of Playing at an Older Level

 

A parent or guardian must send a written request with the registration form to the Geneva Soccer Club by April 14th.  The evaluation criteria include players fitness, ability, and the impact on teams at both levels.  The Board of Directors must approve a request and obtain the consent of all parties involved.  Depending on the circumstances, a try-out may be held in order to arrive at appropriate rosters.
